Referring your patients to our hospital is simple, provided they meet the safe criteria for treatment…
In order to be referred to us for treatment, the patient must:
- have a Body Mass Index of 42 or less for general anaesthetic, or a BMI of 45 of less for local anaesthetic (under 160kg and able to transfer independently)
- be 18 years old or over
- not be pregnant
- not require complex rehabilitation or have a chronic disease that would require immediate post-operative care in an ITU
- not have sickle cell anaemia, renal failure, a high suspicion of cancer, or have had a cardiac arrest in the last six months
As long as the condition is managed, and the patient is stable upon admission for treatment, we can accept patients with:
- Angina
- Asthma
- Atrial Fibrillation
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Dementia.
If the patient meets the above criteria, you can refer them to us in various ways:
Via the NHS e-Referral Service
Via fax: 0208 598 4262
